Ford unveils F-100 Eluminator concept model with new electric motor

Ford is heralding the future of electrified custom vehicles with the introduction of the F-100 Eluminator all-electric concept vehicle, a zero-emissions demonstration truck powered by a Ford Performance Parts Eluminator electric motor that customers can now purchase online.

All-electric concept car The Ford F-100 Eluminator uses the 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition electric powertrain. with two (front and rear) traction motors that produce a total of 480 horsepower and approach 860 Nm of torque.

The all-electric Eluminator powertrain is now available for purchase in the US, local dealers or online through Ford Performance Parts with 281 hp. and a torque of 430 Nm.

Based on a vintage 1978 F-100 pickup., the F-100 Eluminator Concept has all-wheel drive thanks to two powerful electric motors that are shared with the 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition. The two traction motors drive the front and rear wheels, delivering 480 horsepower and nearly 860 Nm. torque. The eluminator was created by Ford Performance Parts and is based on the Mustang Mach-E GT engine.

“Ford owners have been personalizing, redesigning and enhancing their vehicles from the very beginning – from retrofits to more power,” said Eric Sin, Global Director of Vehicle Customization, Accessories and Licensing. “Our F-100 Eluminator concept car is a preliminary example of how we will support customers who want to reduce emissions and move to all-electric vehicles, even vintage vehicles,” he added.

The fully electric concept of the F-100 Eluminator, designed and built by Ford Performance in collaboration with MLe Racecars. and is based on a custom Roadster Shop chassis. It was finished in Avalanche Gray with Brand X Customs Cerakote Copper accents, and the cabin features a JJR Fabrication aluminum dashboard and ripe avocado leather upholstery designed by MDM Upholstery. It is fitted with custom 19×10-inch aluminum rims from Forgeline with high-performance Michelin Latitude Sport 275/45-19 tires.

Eluminator engine leads to electric revolution

Worldwide, the auto parts and accessories industry brings in about $50 billion annually and includes equipment for everything from hot rods to ATVs, from mobile electronics to car accessories.

Customization of Ford vehicles and Ford Performance parts opens up new options for buyers, such as the Eluminator engine, as buyers continue to switch to electric vehicles. This is the first example in a portfolio that will soon become a growing market for Ford EV parts and accessories.

The M-9000-MACH-E engine part number is now available from authorized Ford dealers or online at the Ford Performance Parts website. It is designed for builders who are looking for a powertrain with which they can electrify their vehicles, from modern to vintage, from trucks to SUVs. Each Eluminator engine produces 281 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque and is legal in all 50 US states. Its price is 3900 dollars.
