Ford Ranger Splash is back! 90s classic in a new version
Ford Ranger fans, Splash is back! The much-loved 1990s styling package returns for the 2022 Ford lineup.
Ford Ranger Splash 2022
“Ranger users love to personalize their vehicles – over 80%s modify the Ranger with a styling pack – and the Splash Pack gives them something special,” said Chad Callandar, Ford Ranger marketing manager. “Every few months we are going to be introducing a new exterior color for the Ranger that will only be offered once and in very limited quantities.”
Splash will be available in two flavors
The Splash Pack will be offered throughout the model year and will feature orange and black exterior graphics and special 18-inch 12-spoke wheels in matte black. The Ranger Splash will have orange accents on the grille, as well as shiny black accents on the grille, bumpers, mirror caps, wheel arch moldings and fender vents.
The interior features unique seats with orange contrast stitching and unique carbon fiber leather trim on the Lariat versions. Contrasting orange stitching also appears on the steering wheel, shifter and parking brake cover. Lariat models have orange stitching on the front and rear armrests and on the dashboard.
The Splash Pack can be combined with the FX2 or FX4 packages to add more options and give the vehicle a more off-road character look.
Splash limited edition
Ford will also introduce additional colors, showing Splash Limited Edition models every few months in one-off runs available in just a few hundred vehicles. It also features 18-inch matte black wheels and a unique combination of exterior and interior components and finishes. First comes the Splash Snow Edition series.
The Ranger Splash Pack will be available in the US market, not just for SuperCrew models in optional XLT and Lariat trims, priced at $1,495 with year-end shipping. The Ranger is assembled at an assembly plant in Wayne, Michigan.
