Thunder - Limited edition in Europe of only 4,500 copies. - complements the recently named International Pickup Truck of the Year, the Ranger with exclusive interior and exterior styling cues, as well as popular practical equipment features now standard. The model will take on the shape and comfort of an SUV, while retaining its load-lifting and traction properties.
The Ranger Thunder is equipped with a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged EcoBlue diesel engine with 213 hp.
The Ranger Thunder is a derivative of the very popular Ranger Wildtrak line, so it combines extensive equipment with increased payload capacity and powerful all-wheel drive.

Style that emphasizes power and individuality
Ranger Thunder is offered in a single specification with eye-catching details that highlight its uniqueness and bold character.
Painted in Sea Gray, the model features 18-inch black alloy wheels and Ebony Black trim: grille, rear bumper, front and rear bumper trims, fog light surrounds, sports cargo box frame and door handles. Bold red accents on the grille and sporty cargo area frame highlight strategic points on the body. They are complemented by 3D Thunder badges on the front doors and a matte black Ranger logo boot lid.
LED headlights with tinted bezels are also standard, and similar bezels have been added to the taillights. The Ranger Thunder comes with a boot mat and powder coated black roller blinds, two options that are very popular with customers.
The comfortable, climate-filled interior features ebony leather seats with distinctive Thunder red embroidery and similar accents on the steering wheel, seats, instrument panel and areas most often in contact with the driver's hands. Black floor mats, which contrast with the red illuminated door sills, are also standard.
Proven transmission
Demonstrating tremendous pulling power, the Ranger Thundera's powerful 2.0-litre EcoBlue Bi-turbo diesel engine uses two turbochargers working in series at lower engine speeds to increase torque and driver response. On the other hand, at higher engine speeds, a smaller one is cut off, and a larger turbocharger is responsible for a faster increase in maximum power.
Complementing the transmission is a 10-speed Ford automatic transmission, whose efficiency and durability have been proven in conditions as diverse as the F-150 pickup and the new Ford Mustang. A wide range of gear ratios and real-time adaptive shift algorithms that allow the transmission to adapt to changing conditions ensure that the optimal gear ratio is always selected for performance, fuel consumption and work culture, regardless of driving style.
The Thunder features proven off-road all-wheel drive and low fuel consumption of 7.8 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 205 g/km (NEDC) or fuel consumption of 9.1 l/100 km and emissions of 239 g/km. (WLTP cycle).
