Jeep introduces Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe models

The evolution of the Jeep brand fully reflects its core values of freedom, adventure, authenticity and passion, which are the pillars of its worldwide reputation. The latest step in Jeep's evolution was electrification. It was carried out in several stages, which contributed to the brand's development of a plug-in hybrid drive capable of expanding the legendary off-road capabilities of the SUV lineup.

Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe

The bodies of the new Jeep 4xe models feature a striking blue color scheme on the "Jeep" badge at the front and on the "4xe" and "Jeep" badges at the rear. Blue accents also adorn the side emblems with the Renegade and Compass names, while the charging port is located under a cover located on the car's left rear fender.

Exclusive equipment makes Jeep 4xe models the most technologically advanced off-road vehicles. The interior of the vehicle features a 7" TFT color display and an 8.4" touchscreen Uconnect NAV infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Radio DAB (depending on market). Both display specific information about electrified driving.

4xe models also feature a new six-speed automatic transmission, updated Selec-Terrain traction control with Auto, Snow, Mud and Sand and Rocks driving modes, including a new Sport Mode for improved throttle response and steering, available only for the Renegade. and Compass 4xe models. Black "black wizard" accents appear on the air vents, speakers, and in the center of the dash on the Limited and S versions, while on the Trailhawk, the dash has ruby ​​red accents.

Jeep Renegade and Jeep Compass 4xe, power and performance

Both the Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe are powered by a 1.3-litre petrol engine at the front and electric motors located between the rear wheels and are powered by an 11.4 kWh battery that can be charged while driving or outside from an electrical outlet: at home, with an efficient and the exclusive easyWallbox charger or the more advanced Connected Wallbox or at public charging stations. An efficient 1.3-liter turbo engine produces 130 hp. or 180 hp, and with the support of a 60 hp electric motor. it gives a total of 190 hp. (Limited version) or 240 hp (Trailhawk and S versions). In terms of torque, the electric motor delivers 250 Nm of torque, while the combustion engine delivers 270 Nm. The combination of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor guarantees exceptional performance and exceptional driving pleasure: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7.5 seconds, a top speed of 130 km/h in electric mode and 200 km/h in hybrid mode.

Full range

The new Jeep Renegade 4xe and Jeep Compass 4xe range includes three trim levels - "Limited", "S" and "Trailhawk" - all equipped with all-wheel drive (eAWD) and a six-speed automatic transmission - and two engines providing a total power 190 km or 240 km.

A wide range of personalization options are available, with up to 18 different color configurations for the Renegade and 22 for the Compass. Exterior colors: Alpine White, Glacier, Granite Crystal, Jetset Blue, Blue Shade, Sting Grey, Colorado Red, Carbon Black and Solid Black plus 3 Renegade specialty colors Bikini and Omaha Orange (both available in all trims except " S") and Matt Green (Trailhawk only). Three additional colors: Ivory Tri-Coat, Blue Italia and Techno Green are only available for the Compass model. In addition, six special wheel designs are available for the new Renegade and seven for the new Compass 4xe.

In terms of safety, the new 4xe models are equipped with the most advanced ADAS systems on the market, including full LED headlights for excellent visibility (standard or optional on Renegade depending on version) and bi-xenon headlights (Jeep Compass). In addition, standard features include Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning Plus, Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Assist (Renegade only), and front and rear parking sensors. Available safety systems also include Blind Spot Detection, ParkView Rearview Camera with Dynamic Network, Auto Parking Assist and Keyless Go. The Jeep Renegade 4xe comes standard with an all-new Driver Determination Detection (DDD) system, which is a first for a Jeep model.
