Jeep concept electric motor debuted at the 2022 SEMA Show.
At this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Mopar unveiled three new concept vehicles and hundreds of quality-tested factory parts and accessories.

Inside the exhibition, located in the south hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center Show, in the first days of November, visitors to the exhibition could experience the passion, creativity and innovation of the iconic 85-year-old Mopar brand.

Jeep CJ Surge Concept
Developed to explore an efficient battery-electric powertrain for classic Jeep models, the Jeep CJ Surge concept allows Mopar designers and engineers to better understand the potential application of a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) package that will lead to the powertrain. a proposal in the future for enthusiasts who will be able to build or convert classic and modern cars and trucks into zero emission vehicles.
A true 4×4 Jeep, the CJ Surge concept is fitted with a custom transmission. Under the hood is a scalable 400V 200kW electric drive mounted on a frame with specially designed heavy duty motor mounts. Power to all four wheels is provided by 24 lithium-ion battery modules, and torque is transmitted through a two-speed Jeep transmission with selectable gear ratios. The battery modules are enclosed in a special case installed in the rear of the cabin.
Fitted with 35" BFGoodrich all-terrain tires paired with a 2" lift kit, the stunning Copper Canyon bodywork features glossy black graphics and Surf Blue Surge stripes. The hood and concept grille are finished in high-gloss black, as is Jeep's iconic seven-slot grille.
The CJ Surge concept runs on matte black 18-inch Black Rhino Solid wheels with Surf Blue accents on the rims and positioned under large concept fenders. The front and rear axles of the Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) Dana 44 Crate help the CJ Surge Concept to navigate rocks and boulders with ease.
The JPP Wrangler JK Rubicon bumper kit includes a JPP Rubicon Warn winch at the front, Surf Blue tow hooks and yellow fog lights on both sides. Underbody protection is provided by JPP Rubicon skid plates and a front bumper. A dedicated BEV charging port is located just behind the driver's side door.
Looking through the windshield, the driver and passenger sit comfortably on special seats installed on the concept seats. Both seats feature Surf Blue stitching on Black Sedoso fabric and houndstooth inserts.
The Wrangler JK's center console features a rotary shift knob, and Mopar gauges on the dash include a battery gauge that tells the driver how much time is left before it runs out.
The cockpit of the CJ Surge Concept is surrounded by a custom roll cage, while a specially shaped sun visor provides precious shade and shelter from the elements. Of course, no JPP concept would be complete without a set of Mopar all-weather floor mats. The interior is complemented by a custom steering wheel with a unique JPP horn badge.
