Lamborghini Urus Performante takes the super SUV to the next level

The Italian manufacturer is back with a new version of its best-selling SUV. The Lamborghini Urus Performante is a sports car that maximizes sporty driving pleasure. The lower and lighter design at 47 kg improved the aerodynamics of the machine, and its power increased to 666 hp.

The Urus Performante will accelerate from 0 to 100 km in 3.3 seconds, and its top speed will be 306 km/h. The model is available in new driving modes, including RALLY mode for off-road driving.

New Lamborghini Urus Performante

The new model is distinguished by its characteristic design and supersport character. It will perform well on track, street and loose surfaces. Even before the premiere, the new Urus set a record at Pikes Peak, reaching a time of 10 minutes 32 seconds.

The Urus set a new standard during its launch, drawing on the Lamborghini brand's design DNA and the technological talent of its engineers. Designed with performance in mind

The sharp and expressive design emphasizes the super sporty character of the Performante while maintaining its inherent elegance. The car makes extensive use of carbon fiber parts, which makes it stand out in this segment.

The front bumper and spoiler are made of composite materials. Black front air intakes provide better engine cooling, while a new air curtain directs airflow to the front wheels. The car's design also provides better aerodynamics by reducing air outlet drag and increasing its overall efficiency. On the other hand, a new rear spoiler increases the car's downforce by the 38%.

The 20mm lower profile of the Urus Performante is accentuated by prominent front and rear fenders and a bumper that lengthens the car by 25mm. The design of the rear of the car is also different, with a rear spoiler with carbon fins inspired by the Aventador SVJ.

The bumper and diffuser are also made from carbon fiber.

They are fitted as standard with a lightweight Akrapovic titanium sports exhaust that lends a signature Lamborghini sound depending on the selected driving mode. Contrasting elements such as black door handles, air vents above the bonnet and spoiler lip are matched to the exterior color.

The interior is trimmed as standard in Nero Cosmus black Alcantara with new hexagonal stitching on the seats. Buyers will also be able to choose a specially prepared finish called Performante. Specialized color and trim options include brushed carbon fiber interior trims, red door handles and custom logo treadplates, among others.

Designed to ride in a variety of conditions

Performante power increased by 16 hp. to 666 hp, and weight has been reduced by 47 kg, resulting in a best-in-class weight-to-power ratio of 3.2. The new Urus accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.3 seconds, and the braking distance from 100 km to a stop is 32.9 m. The car produces 850 Nm of torque at 2,300-4,500 rpm, and its speed maximum - 306 km / h.

The car's capabilities have been matched in terms of responsiveness, handling and stability. The model also has improved aerodynamic characteristics. Torque distribution has been optimized thanks to a new differential that increases the gear ratio from 3.16 to 3.4 in driving mode and from 3.02 to 3.33 when idling.

With redesigned driving modes, Urus Performante drivers can choose the perfect setting for every type of road and driving style. STRADA mode provides a comfortable and smooth driving experience.

AT SPORT mode driver enjoys improved throttle response, rear wheel steering that is more responsive at low speeds and stable at high speeds with oversteer for driving pleasure and quicker shifting.

This mode uses a sportier chassis setup, new stiffer steel springs and a special damper setup that maximizes feedback and makes driving even more fun.

The racing nature of the car is revealed by the CORSA mode.

Thanks to high-speed stability, smooth cornering is supported by active stabilizers and maximum damping. The sports exhaust system is reminiscent of the Italian brand's sporting heritage.

In addition to the standard driving modes, the Urus Performante offers a new RALLY mode adapted for gravel driving. Its oversteer is enhanced by anti-skid and damping systems optimized for rough, rough and more extreme surfaces.

The first Urus Performante will be handed over to the customer at the end of 2022.
