World premiere of the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo
Porsche today unveiled the Taycan Cross Turismo at its virtual world premiere. As such, the manufacturer is expanding its first all-electric sports car range with a versatile off-road option and continuing its consistent commitment to sustainable mobility. Like the Taycan sports sedan, the new Taycan Cross Turismo uses an innovative 800V electric drive architecture.

The new high-tech chassis with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension ensures uncompromising driving dynamics even on rough terrain. Forty-seven millimeters of additional headroom for rear passengers and more than 1,200 liters of cargo space with access through a large tailgate make the Taycan Cross Turismo a truly versatile vehicle.
“In 2019, with the introduction of our first all-electric sports car, we sent a key message to the world,” said Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche AG, at the world premiere of the new, even more versatile Taycan variant. “We see ourselves as pioneers in sustainable mobility: by 2025 at the latest, half of all new vehicles we plan to deliver will be electrified – either all-electric or plug-in hybrids. In 2020, one in three of the vehicles we delivered to Europe were electrically powered. The future is in electromobility. We are taking another big step in that direction with the Taycan Cross Turismo.
The full range of Cross Turismo available right from the start
Four variants of the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo have been available since launch. Each comes standard with a Performance Plus battery with a total capacity of 93.4 kWh. The range of options includes:
- Taycan 4 Cross Turismo 280 kW (380 hp), boost power with Launch Control: 350 kW (476 hp), 0-100 km/h acceleration: 5.1 seconds, top speed: 220 km/h , power reserve (WLTP): 389-456 km
- Taycan 4S Cross Turismo 360 kW (490 hp), supercharged 420 kW (571 hp) with Launch Control, 0-100 km/h: 4.1 seconds, top speed: 240 km/h, range (WLTP): 388–452 km

Standard on all four variants is a high-tech all-wheel drive chassis with adaptive air suspension. The optional off-road design package increases ground clearance by 30 mm. This means that the Taycan Cross Turismo can also be used in rough terrain. Its efficiency when driving on bumpy roads is enhanced by the standard Gravel mode.
The design of the Taycan Cross Turismo is very similar to that of the Mission E Cross Turismo Concept unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2018. Its silhouette is defined by a sporty sloping roofline that Porsche designers have nicknamed the “flyline”. Off-road design features include wheel arch extensions, unique front and rear bumper lower sections and side sills. With the Off-Road Design package, the new Taycan Cross Turismo has special trims on the corners of the front and rear bumpers, as well as on the ends of the sills. On the one hand, they emphasize the spectacular appearance, on the other hand, they provide protection against chipping by stones.
Sports accessories: new rear rack and Porsche e-bikes
Especially for the Taycan Cross Turismo, Porsche engineers and designers have developed a new rear rack that can hold up to three bikes and sets the standard for compactness and ease of use. The rack has a universal design - it can be used to transport various types of bicycles. One of the innovative features that sets it apart is the ability to open the back cover even with bikes attached. At the same time, Porsche is introducing two high-end electric bikes: the eBike Sport and the eBike Cross. Timeless design and powerful, stable drivetrain technology make them perfect for the Cross Turismo character.
