Mobilize Limo - new all-electric hatchback

Mobilize introduces the Limo, a 100% 4.67 meter electric 4-door hatchback designed for the taxi and chauffeur-driven rental market. The car will be available only in the form of a one-time payment and per-minute rental.

Mobilize the limousine

Mobilize Limo was developed by a joint venture established in 2018 between Renault Group and Jiangling Motors Group Co, Ltd (JMCG). The project drew on more than a decade of knowledge and experience of the Renault Group and its network in the field of electromobility, both in the field of electric vehicles and related services.

The world premiere of the model will take place on September 8 this year. during the IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich at the Renault booth as part of a special day dedicated to the Mobilize brand. A fleet of 40 Mobilize limousines will then go into service to test the services, to be rolled out across Europe in the second half of 2022.

Economical zero emission model suitable for taxi service

In Europe, the market for taxis and chauffeured cars is growing rapidly. By 2030, its estimated value should increase from the current 28 to about 50 billion euros. It is also a market that will be rapidly and massively electrified. Electric vehicle models will become indispensable for entry into restricted traffic areas in the city center, especially in the growing number of low emission zones (LEZ) across Europe. Please note that drivers mainly work in and around the city. For example, out of 47,500 chauffeur-driven rental cars in France, as many as 70% are in the Île-de-France region (source: Stacian - 2020 data).

Thus, Mobilize Limo is the right answer to the current needs of drivers for vehicles with zero emissions, which would be at the same time prestigious, spacious, comfortable and economical. With a range of approximately 450 km (currently pending WLTP approval) and a quiet, vibration-free drive, the vehicle was created to allay any concerns drivers and fleet managers have about electric vehicles.

The Mobilize Limo will go on sale in a formula that combines a car and related services, aimed at different types of drivers: taxi drivers, car rental companies with a driver and other passenger transportation services (medical transport, car sharing, etc.). With Mobilize, all business users will benefit from a complete package of services tailored to their needs, whether they are running a full-time or part-time business. Services will also be available for other Renault Group electric models.

The leases offered by Mobilize and managed by RCI Bank and Services will be flexible in terms of both mileage and duration. For occasional drivers, there is a "pay to drive" formula. And for taxi companies and chauffeur-driven car rental companies, Mobilize will offer, through collaboration with partner startups, a complete solution (dispatcher, payment, billing, charging, mobile services, etc.) to optimize TCO (total cost of ownership). and provide high quality customer service.

Fixed Mobilize packages will also include a manufacturer's warranty, vehicle inspection and insurance, and battery charging solutions. All-inclusive packages at an attractive price will provide the driver with absolute peace of mind and will be introduced at a later date.

Elegant and attractive design

The limousine is 4.67 m long, 1.83 m wide and 1.47 m high, which is close to the D-segment in dimensions. It is an elegant, attractive four-door hatchback with a short bonnet and a sloping rear roof. A modern, fluid and dynamic silhouette fits perfectly into the transition to electric drive. Offered in three of the most popular exterior colors among customers (Metallic Black, Metallic Grey, Glossy White), the limousine looks truly impressive and creates an image of high quality and sophistication.

Its distinguishing features are:

• Mobilize logo on the front and rear and "Mobilize Limo" lettering near the side mirrors.

The atmosphere of absolute tranquility in the interior is emphasized by the velvety, pleasant to the touch and easy-to-clean upholstery made of eco-leather. Door panels with decorative light strips and metal-effect inserts highlight the quality finish, while seven available colors let you personalize ambient lighting in the cabin. The Mobilize logo appears on the steering wheel and floor mats, among other things.

The dashboard, made of quality materials and decorated with carbon motif inserts, is worthy of hatchbacks in this segment. Two digital screens are installed on the wide upper strip of the dashboard: a 10.25-inch cluster display and a central 12.3-inch touchscreen for multimedia.

The electric drive of a limousine is its greatest advantage! Thanks to this, the car is ideal for driving around the city, where passenger traffic prevails. But regardless of where they are used, a range of around 450 km gives drivers one to two full days of work without recharging the batteries. High level of travel comfort for the driver and passengers

The main determining factor in the development of Mobilize Limo was the maximum facilitation of service activities and use of the car. The idea was to provide the greatest possible comfort and practicality for both driver and passengers.

The limousine driver's seat offers professional drivers maximum comfort in terms of ergonomics and acoustics in an interior that stimulates the senses. The driver's seat is adjustable in eight planes (passenger - in four), and the steering wheel - in height and depth, which provides an ideal position behind the wheel, regardless of body type. Between the front seats there is a cooled glove compartment.

With a long wheelbase of 2.75m, the Mobilize Limo offers exceptionally generous rear seat space. This is evidenced by a radius at knee height of 288 mm, worthy of a car of a higher class. Access to the rear seats is facilitated by the wide opening angle of the doors. Three people can comfortably fit in the rear seat, thanks also to the completely flat floor. It has a center folding armrest with two cup holders. Rear seat passengers also have two USB ports for connecting smartphones or tablets. The rear seats also feature a separate audio volume control, variable airflow vents and reading lights.

The volume of the luggage compartment Mobilize Limo is 411 liters. Due to the considerable length of the cargo compartment, it is convenient to load large suitcases into it. The compact spare wheel is installed under the boot floor.

Smooth and stimulating ride

The Mobilize Limo is powered by a powerful 110 kW (150 hp) electric motor and an instantly available 220 Nm of torque. This power provides dynamic acceleration in all situations and great versatility.

Limousine guarantees a flexible and smooth ride in urban and suburban conditions. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds and its top speed is limited to 140 km/h. The driver has a choice of three driving modes (ECO, NORMAL and SPORT). He can also choose from three levels of regenerative braking, which he can set in the car's menu.

The limousine is extremely maneuverable in the city with a turning radius of 11.2 m. It is also equipped with a VSP (pedestrian sound) generation system that signals approaching pedestrians and other vehicles in the city. From the moment Drive mode is activated, the system remains permanently active up to a speed of 30 km/h.

Simple and effective system of communication with the world

The on-board multimedia system Mobilize Limo will display smartphone screens on the central 12.3-inch touch screen. Most drivers use their mobile devices to navigate or connect to various platforms (such as Uber).

The driver application, designed specifically for the limousine, also allows access to information about the vehicle, the geolocation of the vehicle, and remote control of certain functions (opening / closing doors, preheating or cooling the passenger compartment, activating traction battery charging, etc.). )

Compatible with all types of charging terminals

The Mobilize Limo has a 60 kWh liquid-cooled traction battery. It allows you to cover a distance of about 450 km on the WLTP cycle (pending approval) without recharging. This power reserve is enough for more than one intensive working day, taking into account the average daily mileage of professional users (250 km / day), which should reassure even many drivers behind the wheel.

Mobilize Limo is compatible with all common types of AC and DC charging terminals, which means it can be charged from all public charging stations and home wall boxes. It can also be charged from ordinary household outlets. In fast charging mode, you can restore 250 km of mileage in just 40 minutes.

The limousine is equipped with 100% LED lighting for optimal visibility at night. It also has 8 airbags as standard (2 front, 2 side front, 2 side rear and 2 curtain airbags) and advanced driving assistance technologies:
