Hyundai has unveiled new information about the new i30, which will premiere at the International Motor Show in Geneva. The new Hyundai i30 will get a new design and advanced communication systems. It will also offer an electrified 48-volt hybrid system that will provide better performance.

Hyundai is also updating N Line versions for the i30 model. In the summer of 2020, a sports version will be available for the i30 Wagon for the first time. Features inspired by the sporty i30 N will also be available on the i30 Hatchback and i30 Fastback.

“After listening to our customers, we realized that there is a need for a safe and reliable C-segment vehicle that also offers modern connectivity and an efficient drivetrain, as well as an attractive appearance. New, slimmer LED headlights and new distinctive V-shaped LED daytime running lights complete the modern front end. Also new is the rear end of the new i30 with an improved aerodynamic bumper. The rear LED combination lamps are also V-shaped to create a symmetrical effect between front and rear.

N Line available for all body types

The dynamic, motorsport-inspired version of the N Line has received a comprehensive redesign on the i30 Hatchback and Fastback models. In addition, the N Line version is available for the first time for the new i30 Wagon. This means that the N Line version will be available for all three Hyundai i30 body styles.

The new i30 N Line features a fresh, bold design and even sportier styling. At the front, the new i30 N Line features a wider cascading grille, new headlights and a custom N Line front bumper. Inspired by aviation, the lower central air intake, which now dominates the bumper area, has been enlarged to accentuate the sporty silhouette. The side air intakes are accentuated by covers that improve aerodynamics.

The completely redesigned rear bumper emphasizes the dynamic character of the N Line. The wide diffuser lends a sporty expression and impresses, while the low-set fog lamps lower the car visually.

The new i30 N Line will be available with new 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheels that give a dynamic look even when stationary.

In addition, the new i30 N Line in Hatchback and Fastback versions has new suspension and steering settings, which in combination with 1.5 T-GDi 160 hp engines. and 1.6 CRDi 136 hp provide better performance.

Increased efficiency and better performance with new engine range

The new i30 features an expanded range of powertrains, giving buyers even more choice. The base unit is a brand new 1.5 MPi petrol engine with 110 hp, paired with a six-speed manual transmission (6MT).

1.0 T-GDi petrol engine with 120 hp will be available with a six-speed manual transmission (6MT) as well as a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT). The 1.0 T-GDi is also available with a fuel-saving 48-volt hybrid powertrain and a six-speed intelligent manual transmission (6iMT).

iMT decouples the engine from the transmission when the driver releases the accelerator pedal, allowing the vehicle to coast and reduce fuel consumption.
