The Taigo, Volkswagen's new model, combines SUV character, premium technology and stylish design in a small body. Taigo also offers a wide range of personalization options, both exterior and interior. The five-seater Taigo's roof slopes gently back in a coupe style, but doesn't restrict headroom for rear-seat passengers. With a length of almost 4.26 meters, this SUV coupe, equipped as standard with LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster and the latest generation of multimedia systems, sets a new standard in its class.
Volkswagen Taigo SUV coupe
Taigo is a style icon in its segment: decisions that affect the design of a car can be personalized and make each car unique. Taigo's silhouette has excellent proportions. Particular attention is paid to the coupe-like body with a steeply sloping C-pillar. The silhouette of the car is also characterized by very clear and sharp lines, which, together with large wheels and well-defined wheel arches, emphasize the character of the crossover. .
Available in eight colors
The new Taigo is available in eight body colors. All but Deep Black can be combined with a contrasting black roof (optional). The size of the wheels depends on the configuration version and varies from 16 to 18 inches. Numerous equipment options include a large panoramic sunroof that can be tilted or tilted, a Pro digital cockpit with a 10.25-inch display, ArtVelour upholstery, voice control, a Black Style design package for the R-Line, and a 300W beats audio system. power with 6 speakers.
All exterior lighting, from headlights to taillights, is LED technology as standard. Starting with the Style trim level, the Taigo is fitted with new IQ.Light matrix LED headlights as standard along with a backlight strip in the grille. Thus, it stylistically refers to the models of the ID. family, as well as to the new Golf, Arteon, Tiguan Allspace and Polo, which can also be equipped with this distinctive design element. A bright light strip at the rear emphasizes the vehicle's width and character. In addition, an attractive honeycomb pattern in the exterior mirrors is standard from the Life version.
Interior, multimedia and driver assistance systems
Inside the Taigo, eye-catchers include the multi-function steering wheel and the digitized controls for key functions. MIB3 multimedia systems are equipped with an online management unit (eSIM) and App-Connect Wireless (depending on equipment). The optional Climatronic air conditioning system features a minimalist control panel with a touch function that echoes optically with the central display. It is controlled using touch controls and sliders. It is offered in a similar form on larger models such as the Tiguan, Passat and Arteon, highlighting the high quality of the Taigo's interior.
The new crossover is also very close to the top Volkswagen models in terms of driver assistance systems. Optionally, the new Taigo has Travel Assist on board: the new active cruise control ACC (automatic distance control with additional linkage to speed limits and navigation system data) and Lane Assist connect to other systems and allow semi-automatic driving up to a maximum speed of 210 km/h.
The new multifunction steering wheel features capacitive surfaces that detect whether the driver is holding the steering wheel. Every Taigo is equipped as standard with assistance systems such as Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and Lane Assist. Few models in this class offer such a wide range of assistance systems that would provide such a high level of comfort and safety.
In addition to striking design and high-tech solutions, Taigo is highly functional: an impressive 438 liters of luggage space. This means that, despite its coupe-like silhouette, the Taigo offers almost as much luggage space as the compact T-Cross with a sliding rear seat (trunk volume varies from 385 to 455 liters).
Volkswagen has changed the range of equipment options in all models, making them simpler and more understandable. Equipment items chosen by most customers, such as LED headlights and a digital instrument cluster, are standard on the Taigo. From the point of view of the buyer, the choice of equipment will now become clearer. The base Life version will open for the new crossover, followed by the Style and R-Line versions. All equipment versions can be retrofitted with attractive packages or individual accessories.
