Pagani Utopia with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires
PHoratio Pagani's latest creation, the Utopia, is exclusively equipped with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres. The new hypercar was presented at the Museum of Science and Technology. Leonardo da Vinci in Milan with specially developed Pirelli tires. Specialized tires provide not only superior performance in all conditions, but also comfort in the cabin, while maximizing the driving experience and dynamic characteristics of this hypercar.
Pagani Utopia + Pirelli P Zero Corsa
To meet the requirements of the new car model, Pirelli chose the P Zero Corsa tire model, which was developed using extensive experience gained in motorsport. The technology used in the rubber compound and tread design allows the tire to withstand extremely high power and torque across the entire temperature range and on any type of road surface.
Using this tire as a starting point, Pirelli developed the P Zero Corsa all-round tire to deliver the ultimate in comfort that is an integral part of the Utopia design conceived by Horacio Pagani.
In addition, when developing this important part for any car, Pirelli was guided by the requirements of increased safety when driving in various weather conditions. New tires have a deep and clear tread pattern that clings to any road surface like a professional rock climber. This provides incredible traction, allowing you to brake faster and maneuver with more confidence. But that is not all. The specially developed P Zero winter tire is available for colder conditions, as it is made from a special rubber compound that remains flexible even in cold weather. This means that they will not harden or lose their adhesive properties in any negative weather conditions.
The tires also have a car silhouette embossed on the sidewall to highlight the individual approach to their design. Driving dynamics are ensured by two tire sizes front and rear: 265/35ZR21 at the front and 325/30ZR22 at the rear.
A virtual environment was used to develop the Pagani Utopia tires. This design approach was initiated in motorsports and then transferred to products intended for road-legal vehicles. Recent advances in this technology allow Pirelli engineers to create digital tire models that can be precisely calibrated and tested before creating a physical prototype.
This methodology is faster, more sustainable and much more efficient than the traditional manufacturing process. Additionally, it gives Pirelli the ability to precisely define tires to the manufacturer's exact specifications and then test them virtually, saving time and raw materials.
Cooperation between Pirelli and Pagani
The collaboration between Pirelli and Pagani has been going on for over ten years and combines the latest technology with timeless style. Highlights of this historic partnership include the P Zero tire for the Pagani Zonda, the P Zero Trofeo R tire for the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC and now the new P Zero Corsa tire for the Utopia. The next chapters of this collaboration are still being written...
