With AC Schnitzer's Police BMW i4 as a concept car, the tuning company from Aachen played an important role in TUNE IT! SAFELY! 2022/2023.

Because for the past 17 years, every year a car has been presented in the original police version, which complies with the traffic safety rules applicable to law enforcement officers. The campaign, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, uses a nationwide campaign to draw attention to safe tuning and show what is possible in tuning while respecting the rules of the road. The campaign, of course, is financed exclusively by sponsors.

For the eighth time, tuning company AC Schnitzer from Aachen is starring in the Safe Tuning Show. The all-electric BMW i4 AC Schnitzer meets all the requirements for a dynamic, powerful and sporty appearance, while at the same time complying with regulations and taking into account aspects of sustainability.

The fact that AC Schnitzer is also a competent partner for enhancing the driving dynamics and driving pleasure of electric vehicles is not only evident in the extensive programs for hybrid and electric vehicles.

The tuners from Aachen got their first experience with an electric car 12 years ago, when the TUNE IT car appeared on the market! SAFELY! Electric Police MINI equipped with AC Schnitzer.

The AC Schnitzer aerodynamic package already makes every tuning enthusiast's heart beat faster: front spoiler elements, front splitter, front side fenders, AC Schnitzer side styling package (2 pieces per side), rear roof spoiler, rear carbon spoiler, rear side wings and, to complete the look, a protective film for the back of the case.

Chassis modifications include a set of AC Schnitzer suspension springs that lower the front and rear by approximately 20-25mm compared to the stock suspension and provide optimal road and cornering stability. AC Schnitzer wheel set with AC4 Flow Forming BiColor Silver/Black rims (front: 8.5J x 20" with Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 tires with 255/35 R 20 tires and rear: 9.5J x 20" with 265/35 tires p 20).

The interior of the BMW i4 Concept features AC Schnitzer aluminum pedals, an aluminum footrest, an aluminum "Black Line" cover for the i-Drive system controller and an aluminum key holder. These elements will allow you to pass the exam not only to the police. The aluminum key holder passes not only all police checks, but also all design checks.

The BMW i4 from AC Schnitzer was equipped with a special Hella police alarm system. Official FOLIATEC film and SECURLUX protective film on the side windows complete the original police look.

Approval of AC Schnitzer special parts for road traffic is a major topic in the development of new components. All components used in TUNE IT! SAFELY! Police BMW i4 from AC Schnitzer has passed the relevant tests. This means that the current TUNE IT! SAFELY! is on the side of all homologation rules, but as usual with AC Schnitzer, outside of standard production!
