Porsche is adding a sporting hero to the Cayenne range: consistently tuned for maximum performance and handling on asphalt, the new Cayenne Turbo GT combines exceptional driving dynamics with a high degree of convenience in everyday use. The basis of its excellent driving performance is a 4-litre V8 biturbo engine with an output of 471 kW (640 hp). The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.3 seconds (0.6 seconds less) and the top speed is 300 km/h (14 km/h more).

The new Cayenne Turbo GT features an even sportier line and is available exclusively as a four-seat coupe. Its standard equipment includes all available chassis systems as well as specially designed high performance tires. The drivetrain and chassis are uniquely tuned for the Cayenne Turbo GT. The result is a harmonious design with excellent racing performance. Porsche test driver Lars Kern proved this by driving the Cayenne Turbo GT 20,832m of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:38.9 minutes, setting a new official SUV record.

Compared to the Cayenne Turbo Coupe, the new Turbo GT sits 17mm closer to the road. For this reason, both the passive chassis components and the active control systems have been redesigned and optimized to improve performance and manageability. The changes are complemented by a special calibration that guarantees the perfect interaction of the individual systems. For example, the stiffness of the three-chamber air suspension has increased to 15%. The damping characteristics of the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Power Steering Plus as well as the rear wheel steering have also been adjusted accordingly. Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilization now benefits from performance-focused software. The result: even greater roll stability and traction, as well as more precise cornering responses for faster cornering.

The operation of the Porsche Torque Vectoring system has also been adjusted to increase the difference in torque transmission to individual wheels. The comprehensively optimized front axle also contributes to improved handling. Compared to the Turbo Coupé, the front discs are 1 inch larger and the negative camber is increased by 0.45 degrees. Purpose: to give the new 22-inch Pirelli P Zero Corsa high-performance tires, developed specifically for the Turbo GT, a larger contact area. Braking is handled by the standard Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB).

Faster Tiptronic S transmission and titanium sports exhaust system

The twin-turbocharged Cayenne Turbo GT engine is currently Porsche's most powerful eight-cylinder unit. The most extensive upgrades were carried out in the field of crankshaft drive, turbochargers, direct fuel injection, intake and power systems, and charge air cooling. The V8 Turbo GT engine differs from the Turbo Coupé engine in major components such as the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, timing chain and vibration dampers. By increasing the output to 471 kW (640 hp), these components are designed for higher maximum loads and better driving dynamics.

The eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, which shifts gears even faster, and the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system have also been modified. An additional liquid cooling of the transfer case was also introduced. The Cayenne Turbo GT comes standard with a unique sports exhaust system with centrally located tailpipes. The part from the center of the car, including the rear muffler, is made of lightweight and particularly heat-resistant titanium. Additional weight savings were achieved by eliminating the central muffler.

Sports equipment: a lot of carbon on the outside, a lot of Alcantara in the cabin.

The extremely sporty character of the Cayenne Turbo GT, available as an option in the new Arctic Grey, is underlined by unique elements of its progressive design. These include the distinctive Turbo GT front apron with striking spoiler and enlarged side air intakes. The profile is dominated by a contoured carbon roof and black fender flares, as well as 22-inch Neodyme GT Design wheels. The carbon fiber side panels attached longitudinally to the roof spoiler are specific to the GT variant, as is the retractable rear spoiler, which is 25mm larger than the Turbo. This increases downforce at maximum vehicle speed by up to 40 kg. At the rear, a striking carbon fiber diffuser panel catches the eye.

Turbo GT debut: new infotainment system for Cayenne

The sporty character of the Cayenne Turbo GT is underscored by high-quality standard equipment and numerous Alcantara interior details. Equipped as standard with 8-way power sports front seats and a dual-seat sports rear seat package, all GT-specific, featuring Alcantara perforated center panels, Neodyme or Arctic Gray contrast accents and 'turbo GT' lettering on the headrest . As befits a Porsche sports car, the multifunction sports steering wheel has a yellow ring at the 12 o'clock position. Depending on the specifications ordered, some interior trims can be painted matt black.
