Toyota expands GR Supra range with Jarama Racetrack Edition.

Toyota has introduced a unique version of the Jarama Racetrack Edition for the GR Supra line. Unique styling elements and extensive equipment reinforce the GR Supra's image as a pure sports car. Production was limited to 90 units for European customers - this is a reference to previous special versions and the internal designation of the A90 model.

Toyota GR Supra Jarama Racetrack Edition

The name of the special version comes from the famous Jarama race track in Spain, where the media first tested the GR Supra. The GR Supra Jarama Racetrack Edition is powered by a 340 hp six-cylinder, 3.0-litre turbocharged engine. Special designations GR testify to the direct participation in the development of the factory car of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing team, which represents Toyota in the most prestigious rally and racing series.

The special edition GR Supra features a unique Horizon Blue paint job in contrast to the matte black paint job, 19-inch forged aluminum wheels and red brake calipers. Inside, the car is distinguished by a carbon-fiber plate on the dashboard with a serial number and a Jarama track map, as well as the Toyota GR Supra logo. The black Alcantara upholstery is trimmed with blue thread, and the heated seats are electrically adjustable and have a memory setting.

Sporty performance and precise handling are the result of a well-tuned suspension and an ideal ratio between track and wheelbase. The low center of gravity, rigid bodywork and aerodynamic design further enhance the vehicle's agility and stability. The feeling is enhanced by an adaptive suspension in Normal and Sport modes, as well as an active differential, sports-tuned steering and powerful Brembo sports brakes with four-piston front calipers and 384 mm ventilated discs.

The turbocharged engine is mated to an eight-speed sports gearbox. When Launch Control is activated, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. Even more driving pleasure comes from an increase in torque of 500 Nm, which is available in the range of 1600-4500 rpm.

The Jarama Racetrack Edition features 3D map satellite navigation, wireless smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Supra Connect services and a 10-speaker audio system. Media can be controlled using the 8.8-inch touch screen, and some features can also be controlled by voice.

The GR Supra is equipped with the Supra Safety+ package, which includes an extensive range of active safety systems, including the Early Collision Warning System (PCS) with detection of pedestrians by day and night, and by day of cyclists, an exit warning system lane departure (LDA) with return to home (SC), adaptive cruise control (ACC), adaptive automatic high beam (AHB), adaptive headlights that adjust the beam based on steering angle, and traffic sign recognition (RSA).
