Amarok: an uncompromising SUV full of temperament on the pavement. This Volkswagen pickup truck combines the best of both worlds - the advantages of a commercial vehicle capable of moving on any terrain, with the design and equipment of a premium car. Amarok means wolf in the Eskimo language. And that's what this car is: strong, persistent, with predatory forms, able to get to many places in the wilderness. Its history begins in 2009, when the first Amarok cars rolled off the assembly line. Its shape and design are inspired by the Volkswagen Pick-up concept introduced in 2007, while the exterior was designed by Walter da Silva himself. In 2016, the second generation Amarok was introduced, strengthening the model's position in the premium car segment. Soon we will see the third generation of this car, which will bring another breakthrough in its design and technical solutions.
Amarok is currently offered on the Polish market in several modifications. In two multi-purpose models - Amarok Comfortline and Amarok Highline and in three premium variants - Amarok Aventura, Amarok Canyon and Amarok Dark Label. All are equipped with a 3.0-litre diesel engine with 150 kW (204 hp) or 190 kW (258 hp). All versions come standard with 4MOTION permanent all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. All of them also have a four-door five-seat cab and an open cargo area of 2.52 m2. The Amarok has an extremely durable construction that can withstand extended use. The rigid frame, which ensures high stability of the chassis, and special leaf springs provide a maximum load capacity of almost 1 t and towing a trailer weighing up to 3.5 t.
The deluxe versions have a package of exclusive stylistic accessories, for example. Sportsbar or Stylingbar, a generously equipped interior, the latest infotainment systems and Car-Net mobile online services. It is the ideal choice for adventurers who value maximum comfort.
The versatile Volkswagen Amarok can also be a great off-the-beaten-path vacation companion. In addition to off-road properties, an excellent addition is the possibility of installing an additional tent on the roof, in which two people can comfortably sleep.
For each version there is a wide range of accessories allowing, among other things, for the development of cargo space. Customers can choose from an optional cargo area cover - a hard top, rolling shutters over the cargo area, an easy-to-install tarp, or a special tool box installed in the cargo area. The car is also equipped with a number of assistance systems and systems that increase driving safety. They include standard systems such as multiple brake or trailer stabilization system, as well as optional ones such as Park Pilot and the Light & Vision package.
