Security

All 2024 Impreza models come standard with the latest version of EyeSight's award-winning driver assistance technology. The improved system operates smoother, faster and in a wider range of conditions. These improvements come with a wider field of view, updated control software and the addition of an electric brake booster. EyeSight now recognizes cyclists and pedestrians at intersections faster and warns the driver and brakes as needed to avoid a collision.

Automatic emergency steering is available on models equipped with Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keeping Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. This feature works in conjunction with EyeSight and Blind Spot Detection to help steering avoid collisions at speeds under 80 km/h.

In its 30-year history, the event has received safety awards from trusted organizations including the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The outgoing five-door Subaru Impreza1 was named IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK for 2022 (with optional EyeSight and special headlights). This is the 15th year in a row that a compact car has received this award (2007-2022) and holds the highest possible "Superior" rating for frontal collision avoidance from the IIHS. Subaru predicts that the all-new 2024 Impreza will continue to deliver exemplary safety performance.
