Audi models with the RS badge represent the combination of the most advanced technology and the highest performance that road cars from Ingolstadt can achieve. However, Audi engineers have gone even further to ensure the absolute maximum when it comes to vehicles with four-cylinder biturbo V8 TFSI – this is how the high-performance models RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback were created.

Incredible performance of the Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback.

Even the standard RS 6 and RS 7 versions boast incredible performance. both models are equipped with 600 hp engines. and maximum torque of 800 Nm., which allows you to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. These are characteristics that a typical racing car would be proud of, and we're talking about the spacious RS 6 Avant and the elegant RS 7 Sportback.

However, such characteristics do not limit the capabilities of these models, as Audi engineers have proven by raising the bar even higher. Both the RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback are available in high-performance versions and are unrestricted.

The Performance versions are, first of all, more powerful. This was achieved, among other things, by increasing the boost pressure from 2.4 to 2.6 bar in the four-liter twin-turbo V8 TFSI engine. Thanks to this, the engine generates 630 hp. and 850 Nm of maximum torque, which ensures acceleration to the first 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

The high-performance RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback models have the RS Dynamic package as standard. It includes an increase in top speed to 280 km/h, a dynamic all-wheel steering system (a special RS software update supports the driver with active steering correction on the front and rear axle) and a quattro sports differential on the rear axle. . The RS Dynamic plus package is available as an option and offers an even higher top speed of 305 km/h as well as the RS ceramic braking system.

Sometimes less is more

Both high-performance models roll off the production line on standard 21-inch ten-spoke cast aluminum wheels and 273/35 tires. Optionally, they can be equipped with light 22-inch wheels in the following colors: burnt black, matt grey, matt black or matt neodymium gold. A motorsports-inspired, breathable five-spoke (5-Y) design helps cool the brakes, and the lighter wheels are manufactured using a technologically advanced forging and milling process. The new lightweight wheel is approximately five kilograms lighter than the 22-inch alloy wheels used on the standard RS 6 Avant or RS 7 Sportback. Combined with the optional ceramic brake system, the weight of these models is reduced by as much as 54 kg.

This isn't the only weight reduction on the performance models. Given the sporty nature of the cars, the insulation between the engine compartment and the passenger compartment has been reduced, which, in addition to lower weight, also ensures a better sounding V8 engine. Thanks to this procedure, a total of approximately 80-90 kg was saved in both cases.

The new RS 6 Avant Performance and RS 7 Sportback Performance are available in a total of sixteen exterior colours. The following varnishes debuted for the first time: metallic blue or matte Ascari Blue and matte Dew Silver. Performance models are equipped with standard RS exterior features including exterior mirrors, front spoiler, front side mudguards, side sill trims, roof rails, matte gray side windows and rear diffuser moldings. An option is the Matte Carbon/Black Optical package, in which the roof rails and side window trims are painted black. The rings and Audi model name are available in the customer's choice of chrome or black.
