New Hyundai KONA debuts in Russia

On July 6, the new KONA debuted in Russia. The advanced model is available with two drive options: internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid (HEV), with N Line sports versions available for each.

New Hyundai KONA - available drives and versions

Petrol options are now available for Russian customers with 1.0 T-GDi engine with 120 hp. with manual or automatic transmission and front-wheel drive (2WD) and 1.6 T-GDi with 198 hp with manual or automatic transmission and front (2WD) or all-wheel drive (4WD). The HEV variant is available with a 1.6 GDI direct injection petrol engine coupled to an electric motor that delivers impressive acceleration and high efficiency with a total output of 141 hp. Both options are available in four trim levels: Smart, Executive, Platinum and N Line.

Prices for the new KONA model with an internal combustion engine start at $110,900. (4 c.u. = 1 USD), and in the hybrid version - from 134,400 c.u. (4 c.u. = 1 USD).

The new Kona is available in 11 colors in a combustion version, including the new Serenity White, special Meta Blue, Denim Blue, Mirage Green, Amazon Gray and 8 colors in a hybrid version, including the new Soultronic Orange, Meta Blue, Denim Blue. , Mirage Green. Mirage Green Special paint is offered at no extra charge, while other metallic and pearlescent paints are offered at $2500. (4 c.u. = 1 USD). The optional Phantom Black roof costs $2,600. (4 c.u. = 1 USD).

Design that adds sportiness and performance

From the shark nose to the tailgate, Seamless Horizon front and rear lights give the new model a harmonious and unmistakable look, regardless of powertrain. This is the first Hyundai model to feature such an iconic design feature.

The sporty character of the SUV is reflected in the solid wheel arches with integrated front and rear lights, dynamic wedge-shaped side panels and characteristic chrome strips running from the window line to the rear spoiler.

The HEV variant has an upper and lower active air intake (AAF), while the ICE variant uses an upper active air intake to improve the drag coefficient. External active air intakes give the ICE and HEV versions an EV-like appearance while improving the aerodynamics of both variants.

The motorsport-inspired N Line variant features a more aggressive front and rear end with sportier bumpers, twin tailpipes and silver side skirts. Additional options include a black roof, wing spoiler and special 18-inch N Line alloy wheels. Inside, the N Line variant is equipped with metal pedals and a shift lever with the N sub-brand logo.

Bigger and smarter interior space

The all-new KONA offers a more spacious and versatile cabin for improved passenger comfort and easier handling. KONA also offers class-leading space with a 60mm longer wheelbase, 77mm more legroom and 11mm more headroom in the second row compared to the previous generation. Shoulder space in the second row is 1402 mm, which is also the best in its class, providing passengers with the best “living space”. The slim and rigid KONA seats are just 85mm thick, offering more room for second-row passengers.

In addition, the gear selector located on the steering wheel provides space for an open, clean center console design, providing more storage space and a neat interior appearance. Fully reclining second-row seats and an enlarged boot will satisfy the highest demands of customers and increase the comfort of loading.

Two built-in 12.3-inch displays provide ergonomic and comfortable operation, while the optional front-row comfort seats are optimized for body pressure distribution. They provide a state of close "weightlessness" to relieve fatigue after long journeys.

Best-in-class technology for greater convenience

Updates to the next generation KONA system are easier than ever with electronic management technology via over-the-air (OTA) software updates. This allows car owners to save money and keep their cars up to date. Ambient lighting is also supported by OTA updates to improve performance and add new features.

Intelligent tailgate with adjustable opening - an additional convenience for customers. Drivers can select the tailgate opening height and speed on the multimedia and navigation screen, and set their preferred opening height by pressing the close button for three seconds.

In addition, KONA has a memory system for seat adjustment and multiple charging ports, including a wireless charging system for added convenience. Under Digital Key 2.0 technology, the all-new KONA can be locked, unlocked and started with a digital key thanks to Near Field Communication (NFC) technology available on smartphones or smartwatches. This provides a high level of security.

The all-new KONA is equipped with various advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as Forward Collision Avoidance System (FCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Assist (BCA), Intelligent Speed Limit Alert (ISLA), Driver Attention Monitoring (DAW) and Blind Spot Vision (BVM). The equipment also includes various features to make driving easier, such as Intelligent Cruise Control with Stop&Go function, Lane Keeping Assist (LFA) and Road Assistance (HDA).

To ensure safe parking, the new KONA offers various advanced technologies such as a 360-degree camera system, border crossing collision avoidance (RCCA), front and rear parking sensors, and reverse collision avoidance (PCA).

The new Hyundai Kona, like all models of the brand, is covered by an excellent warranty. The term of warranty protection and free service is 5 years without mileage limitation.
