Sedan Toyota Corolla in the new version of GR Sport

The Toyota Corolla Sedan gets a sportier look with the new GR Sport version. Now all variations of the Toyota compact body will be available under the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing brand. The new GR Sport version for the Corolla Sedan features signature exterior and interior styling, special upholstery and aluminum wheels. These elements have been standardized across all Corolla body styles to emphasize the character of the GR Sport line.

The design of the new Corolla is inspired by the sporty GR models and echoes the color scheme of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing team, which represents Toyota in international rallies and racing. The elegant GR Sport Corolla sedan has a more dynamic appearance. With this model, the GR Sport line will make its debut in Eastern European markets.

Piano Black body color has replaced the traditional chrome elements. This modern high-gloss black adorns the front grille, exterior mirror housings, A-pillars and side sills. Black trim in the characteristic C-shape at the corners of the front bumper emphasizes the car's wide body.

Decorative alloy wheels combine black lacquer with contrasting polished surfaces at the ends of each spoke, while the wheel center has a GR logo trim and red ring. There are two 10-spoke wheel designs to choose from - standard 17-inch and 18-inch available as an optional package.

The vehicle's dynamic character is underscored by a body-coloured rear spoiler integrated into the tailgate, as well as black trim above the license plate and a GR Sport badge at the rear.

The new paint color for the GR Sport version is Dynamic Gray with black accents. Thus, the Corolla Sedan joins a number of Toyota models offered with a two-tone body.

For the interior, black roof lining, a perforated leather steering wheel and brushed aluminum treadplates with GR logo were added. The sports front seats not only look attractive, but also perfectly stabilize the silhouette of the driver and passenger thanks to the reinforcement of the side bolsters and the integrated head restraints. The seats are upholstered in black fabric and synthetic leather with contrasting black and white stitching in the colors of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing. The same color scheme appears on the back seat.

The new version of the GR Sport will be available with both the 1.8 hybrid and 1.6 petrol engines. Production of the Corolla Sedan GR Sport will begin in November 2020, with sales beginning in January 2021.
