New Premium Electrical Platform (PPE) with 800V architecture.

The electric motors draw their energy from a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery located in the chassis, of which up to 95 kWh can be actively used. The high-voltage battery is a key component of the newly developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE) system with 800 V architecture, which Porsche uses for the first time in the new Macan. DC charging power is up to 270 kW. At a suitable fast charging station, top up your battery's energy level from 10 to 80 % in approximately 21 minutes.

In the case of 400V charging stations, a high-voltage switch in the battery enables split charging: it effectively divides the 800V battery into two energy storage units, each with a nominal voltage of 400V. This allows extremely efficient charging without an additional high-voltage amplifier, up to 135 kW. In the case of home wall boxes, AC charging up to 11 kW is possible.

While driving, electric motors can restore (recover) energy with a power of up to 240 kW. The Integrated Power Pack (IPB) also contributes to the efficiency of the new Porsche Macan. The innovative compact IPB module combines three components - an integrated AC charger, a high-voltage heater and a DC-DC converter - to reduce weight and space. The combined WLTP range is up to 613 km for the Macan 4 variant and up to 591 km for the Macan Turbo variant.

Sporty proportions and coupe-like lines.

Thanks to its precise proportions and Porsche design DNA, the new Macan looks dynamic and dominant.

“The all-electric Macan is the first Porsche that we are electrifying based on an established product identity,” he says. Michael Mauer, company vice president and head of Style Porsche. “With its signature style, the new Macan is easily recognizable as a member of our product family. The classic Porsche proportions are refined here and optimally adapted to the conditions of an electric vehicle. This allowed us to further emphasize the sporty, modern and dynamic look. The design makes this clear: even in electric version, the Macan remains the sports car in its segment.”

The new base SUV measures 4,784 mm in length, 1,938 mm in width and 1,622 mm in height. The sloping front cover and clearly defined fenders give it a dynamic appearance even when stationary. The all-electric Macan comes with wheels up to 22 inches in diameter and different tire sizes. The wheelbase has increased to 2893 mm - 86 mm longer than its predecessor - and is balanced by short overhangs front and rear. The headlights are divided into two parts: flattened headlights with four-point daytime running lights are integrated into the fenders and emphasize the width of the car.

Slightly below is the main lighting module with optional matrix LED technology. The profile is formed by the typical Porsche side line - Flyline, which forms a single unit with the flat rear window. Combined with frameless door windows and distinctive side moldings, this results in a subtle, sporty design. Strongly accentuated fenders give the rear end a muscular look. The word "PORSCHE" is now located in the center of a three-dimensional light bar.

Active and passive aerodynamics provide greater flight range.

Porsche combines design DNA with range-optimized aerodynamics. Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) with active and passive elements and a drag coefficient of 0.25 make the new Macan one of the most streamlined SUVs on the market, which has a positive impact on range and energy consumption. The PAA system includes an adaptive rear spoiler, active front air intakes and flexible covers for a completely sealed underbody. Air flow is optimized by air curtains under the headlight modules and a low-slung front end. At the rear, aerodynamic efficiency is ensured by special side edges responsible for controlled airflow deflection and a ribbed diffuser.

Two luggage compartments and more space inside

The new Macan is a high-performance SUV that offers great everyday practicality, quality equipment and spacious equipment. Electrification has made it possible to increase the luggage compartment. Depending on the variant and equipment, the rear trunk capacity is up to 540 liters (in cargo mode). In addition, under the front cover there is a so-called frunk, i.e. second trunk with a capacity of 84 liters. In total, this gives 136 liters more than its predecessor. With the seat back fully folded, the rear boot volume increases to 1,348 liters. The range of extremely practical features of the new Porsche Macan is complemented by a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 kg.

Depending on variant and trim level, the driver and front passenger position are lowered by 28 mm compared to the previous model, while rear passengers sit 15 mm lower and have more legroom. The interior is unmistakably Porsche: the integrated black panel emphasizes the width of the cockpit. The rising center console reinforces the impression of a low, performance-oriented stance. At the same time, large windows give the interior a feeling of lightness and spaciousness.

In addition to modern digital interfaces, there are also analog controls – for example, for controlling air vents or air conditioning. LED strips are integrated into the clever trim strips of the cabin and doors, providing both ambient and communication lighting. Depending on the situation, they provide information or warnings, for example about greetings, the charging process or driver assistance systems. The equipment of the new Porsche Macan allows for a high degree of individualization.

Moreover, the sports car manufacturer wants to use more environmentally friendly materials in its cars. These trims are used in certain parts of the interior of the all-electric Porsche Macan.

Driver Experience: Powerful Computing and Connectivity

The Macan uses the latest generation of display and control concepts with up to three screens. These include a 12.6-inch freestanding curved instrument panel and a 10.9-inch central display. The passenger can view information, adjust infotainment settings and watch streaming video content while driving on their own optional 10.9-inch screen.

For the first time, the Porsche Driver Experience concept includes a head-up display with augmented reality (AR) technology. Virtual elements such as navigation arrows are visually harmoniously integrated with the real world. The image appears approximately 10 meters in front of the driver and is the size of an 87-inch display.

The new generation infotainment system is based on the Android Automotive operating system. The standard Porsche Communication Management (PCM) takes computing power to a new level. For example, the “Hey Porsche” voice assistant instantly suggests directions, including charging stops. With the new Porsche App Center, travelers can directly access popular third-party apps and install them directly in the car.
