The new Lexus TX is a large SUV with a new plug-in hybrid
Lexus TX was created for the American market. The new SUV will be the brand's first vehicle to be built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana (TMMI). This model will not be offered in Russia.
New Lexus TX 2024
The TX takes inspiration from Lexus' new line of SUVs, which reinterprets the signature grille shape. The design of the front of the car is similar to the concept used in the LBX urban crossover. The grille is trapezoidal and clearly separated from the sloping bonnet, which bears the Lexus logo in the style of an urban crossover. The front daytime running lights are in the shape of an inverted "L" - this is the second model in the Lexus lineup after the LBX to use this solution. The rear of the new SUV is adorned with a distinctive light bar and LEXUS lettering.
The Lexus TX was built on a modified GA-K platform.which gives the car a low center of gravity and a rigid structure. Depending on the version of the equipment, the car has six or seven seats, and the volume of the luggage compartment behind the third row of seats is 570 liters, with the last row of seats folded down, the luggage compartment will increase to 1625 liters, and with the second and folding the third row, as much as 2746 liters of space will be available for luggage.
Lexus has taken care of the highest quality of workmanship and excellent soundproofing of the cabin, using, among other things, additional soundproofing of the trunk floor. The car also uses the latest technology solutions from Lexus. The most important information for the driver is displayed on 12.3-inch digital instruments, the screen of the multimedia system has a diagonal of 14 inches, and the car can also be equipped with a HUD display on the windshield. A 21-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound audio system was created specifically for this model. The TX model comes standard with the Lexus Safety System + Third Generation Active Safety Package.
New Lexus plug-in hybrid
The Lexus TX will be available with three engine options. The Lexus TX 350 will have a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine with 278 hp, front- or all-wheel drive, and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Lexus TX 500h will use a hybrid powertrain known from the RX 500h model, combining a 2.4-liter turbo engine with a six-speed automatic transmission and DIRECT4 permanent electric all-wheel drive. The total power of this version is 371 hp. The TX 500h will be equipped with Dynamic Rear Wheel Steering, which makes it easier to maneuver at low speeds and improves stability when driving on the highway.
New to the Lexus lineup will be the TX 550h+. This first plug-in hybrid with 3.5-litre V6 engine, CVT transmission and DIRECT4 permanent electric all-wheel drive. The total power of the system is 412 hp. The car in electric mode will be able to drive up to 53 km.
