The new Corsa impresses with its new design, including the distinctive Opel Vizor front fascia and Opel lettering at the center rear. Advanced technology makes this new model more enjoyable to travel. The new Corsa offers as an option a fully digital cockpit based on Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon Cockpit platform1 with a new intuitive infotainment system and a 10-inch color touchscreen. The glare-free Intelli-Lux LED® pixel headlights that Corsa introduced to the small car segment in 2019 are also better and more precise, with 14 LED elements. Corsa Electric now offers more power and a better battery for ranges up to 402 kilometers on the WLTP cycle. Other drives are also a real novelty. Corsa is the first Opel model with a 48-volt hybrid. Thus, the new Corsa offers customers an unrivaled range of powertrains in this segment, from pure electric to hybrid and high-performance internal combustion engines.

“The Opel Corsa has been a bestseller for over 40 years. It has also been the best-selling small car in Germany for the past two years, and in 2021 it became the best-selling car in the UK. For us, this success confirms the meaning of our work and is an additional motivation for even greater efforts in the future. The new Corsa is even more modern, even more agile and even better. With striking design, cutting-edge technology previously only found in higher-end vehicles, and new environmentally friendly electric and hybrid technologies, we want to inspire customers and show them what they can expect from a compact car today. ”, said Florian Hüttl, CEO of Opel.

Bold, pure, full of emotion: the new Corsa design with the Opel Vizor

Perfect proportions and precision down to the smallest detail, all "inscribed" in a bold and clean silhouette - this is the new Opel Corsa. Thanks to the designers, this best-selling compact car has become even more modern and stylish. The most eye-catching element was the unmistakable Opel Vizor, the distinctive front fascia that adorns all new Opel models. A black grille covers the front of the Corsa and seamlessly integrates the grille, LED headlights and the central Opel Blitz lightning emblem. Depending on the trim level, the brand logo front and rear can be black or matte silver. The "air intakes" at the bottom of the front bumper are optically larger and more pronounced than before, making the Corsa feel more firmly planted on the road.

The side view of the new Corsa also impresses with its characteristic lines. The "breaking" C-pillar gives the impression that the roof, available in black (depending on trim level), is floating above the car. The rear is also different, with the Corsa name now appearing (as it did for the first time a few months ago on the limited edition "Opel Corsa 40") in the center of the tailgate. Finally, the Grafik Gray paint finish, available for the first time on the Corsa, helps the new model shine with new splendour.

Intuitive and focused on what matters most: the new cab design

Thanks to numerous innovations, the interior of the Corsa also has a modern ambiance. This is due to both the new seat upholstery patterns and the new design of the gear lever and steering wheel. However, the absolute star of the interior - both visually and technically - is the optional fully digital cockpit with the new infotainment system. The Qualcomm Technologies Snapdragon Cockpit1 integrated platform offers enhanced graphics, multimedia, image recognition and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to create a more integrated, context-sensitive, adaptive cockpit system that can evolve with passenger preferences and tastes.

As with the development of the latest Astra generation, the “Detox to max” principle is also applied here: the navigation system offers online services, “Hello Opel” voice recognition and over-the-air updates. In addition, the 10-inch color touch screen displays of the navigation multimedia system and the Driver Information Center are even clearer, so that all important information can be viewed in a fraction of a second. However, the proposed novelties do not end there. For the first time, smartphones compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be connected and charged via the vehicle's infotainment systems, both wirelessly.

Since 2019, the glare-free Adaptive Matrix Intelli-Lux LED® headlights confirm that Corsa makes high-tech innovation accessible to everyone. The engineers are constantly working on further development, and the new Corsa benefits from their input. A total of 14 instead of eight individually controllable LED elements increase driving pleasure and safety by automatically adapting the light beam to the driving situation with even greater precision than before.

Many other advanced driver assistance systems are also available to make driving and parking more comfortable. The extensive range includes a new high-definition panoramic reversing camera, adaptive cruise control with speed limiter and parking and maneuvering assistance, as well as a forward collision warning system with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection.
