To celebrate AMG's 55th anniversary, the sports and performance car brand from Affalterbach looks back proudly on, but not only, its glorious past. It's also a reason to celebrate the gift with special Edition 55 models. The exclusive 'F1 Edition' version of the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé makes Mercedes-AMG's electrified future even more visible. With its technology transfer from Formula One, the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance is the perfect embodiment of future driving performance – the future of AMG performance. The E Performance Modular Hybrid Powertrain will soon be available on other Mercedes-AMG models. And the transition to purely electric drives with AMG variants based on the EVA2 platform, and in the future to fully independent AMG models based on the AMG.EA architecture, will be no less exciting than the last 55 years.
The exterior color of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance "F1 Edition" can be recognized at a glance. It is an exclusive combination of non-metallic MANUFAKTUR alpine gray and AMG logo foil with gray to black gradient effect and red accents. The 21-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke forged wheels with matt black finish and red rim are in the same color as the official FIA F1 medical car supplied by Mercedes-AMG.
The AMG Aerodynamics package, refined in the wind tunnel, improves handling at high speeds, creating the conditions for even greater performance. The kit increases downforce and reduces air resistance at the same time. The fixed rear spoiler clearly demonstrates the desire for uncompromising performance. Elements of the AMG aerodynamics package include a fixed rear spoiler in black (high-gloss), an optimized diffuser integrated into the rear apron, an optimized front apron with an enlarged spoiler (splitter) and additional air deflectors in the air intakes and in the front wheel arches. , as well as deflectors on the side air outlets in the rear bumper.
The AMG Night and AMG Night II packages also emphasize the dynamism of the F1 Edition. The front splitter and trim of the front fender, side mirror housings, side moldings and window surrounds are finished in high-gloss black. In addition, the special version is distinguished by a rear trim strip, AMG twin tailpipes in black chrome trim and heat-insulating tinted windows. The aura of exclusivity is further emphasized by the tinted AMG radiator grille, chrome-plated badges on the trunk lid and black fenders. Another highlight is the new AMG fuel tank cap with silver chrome surround and AMG lettering.
As with the G-Class, A-Class and CLA in Edition 55, the interior is also defined by the contrast of black and red. The sporty exterior design is echoed by AMG Performance seats upholstered in Exclusive black nappa leather with red stitching, red seat belts and exclusive AMG carbon fiber trim with red thread. The AMG Performance steering wheel in nappa leather and DINAMICA microfibre also features red stitching, while the AMG door sills feature red "AMG" lettering. The accent kit is complemented by an exclusive "Edition" badge and special AMG floor mats.
To protect your valuable vehicle, each customer additionally receives a personalized AMG cover with the F1 logo for indoor use. With a breathable, tear-resistant synthetic fiber outer shell and an anti-static flannel inner layer, the cover protects your car from dust and scratches when parked in the garage.
