Together, they are expanding the latest Ranger family, extending its reach to a wider range of customers than ever before,” said Hans Schep, general manager of Ford Pro Europe.

Ford Ranger Wildtruck X

The Ranger Wildtrak X is based on the Ranger Wildtrak but features a 26mm higher suspension and 30mm wider track for more confident handling in rough terrain. Bilstein high-performance shock absorbers fitted as standard with position-dependent damping provide sufficient damping force throughout their travel, enhancing off-road performance without sacrificing ride quality. An updated, reinforced power steering system and steel plates to protect the engine and transfer case give you even more off-road confidence.

Both versions are equipped as standard with new off-road systems such as Trail Turn Assist 1, which uses torque vectoring to reduce turning radius to 25% when tight corners must be negotiated by applying the brakes to the appropriate wheels. Trail Control 1 works in a similar way to cruise control: the driver can set any speed up to 32 km/h, and the car automatically takes control of acceleration and braking, maintaining the selected speed while the driver concentrates on off-road driving.

climbing mode - previously only available on the Ranger Raptor - fine-tunes throttle response, traction control and shifting characteristics for optimal low speed and controlled slip on rough, rocky terrain.

Ford's proven 2.0-litre EcoBlue Bi-turbo diesel engine powers all versions of the Wildtrak X, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The maximum torque transmitted to the wheels is 500 Nm at 1750 rpm, and the maximum power is 205 hp.. Also included as standard is a "set it and forget it" permanent all-wheel drive system designed to maintain high performance in difficult situations.

The Ranger Wildtrak X conveys power with its look - a wider seating position, skid plates and increased ground clearance that sets it apart from the Wildtrak showrooms. The distinctive appearance is further enhanced by the use of Asphalt Black paint, unheard of on other models, on the grille frame and H-shaped bumper body, as well as on the fender flares and rear bumper trim. Optional matrix LED headlights and additional lights in the grille provide excellent visibility.

Massive Wildtrak X badges, blacked-out Ford logos and matching black 17-inch wheels with off-road tires with white lettering complete the more uncompromising off-road styling.

Inside, passengers enjoy unique seats trimmed in Miko suede with Wildtrak X embroidery, complemented by soft Terra suede with Cyber Orange contrast stitching on the dashboard, door moldings and center console.

The redesigned suspension geometry contributes to a stiffer and squatter stance, which is also emphasized by the wider track and wider wheel arches. Distinctive roof bars are standard, defining the Ranger Tremor's adventurous look, while cast aluminum side steps and exposed dual front tow hooks complete the styling that underscores the model's purpose. Tremor-designed Boulder Gray exterior details and smoked grille add to the bold, recognizable style.

The seats and floor of the Ranger Tremor feature water-repellent, easy-to-clean vinyl coverings. The optional pre-wired ceiling switch kit offers six inputs for winches, LED light bars, and other accessories that can be ordered from your Ford dealer or the Ford Online Store.

The flexible racking system is the first functional load securing system in its segment.

Both the Ranger Wildtrak X and the Tremor can be equipped with an optional innovative Ford-designed load securing system. Two crossbars integrated with the roof rails and hidden in them, and the third, hidden in the sliding lining of the cargo compartment, allow you to transport long items above the roof without wedging between the tailgate and the cab. This improves the security of the cargo by freeing up space in the luggage for other items. A flexible trunk system will also be available as an option on the Ranger Limited and Wildtrak from March 2023.
