The new Maserati Grecale SUV is celebrating its dynamic premiere on British soil, taking part in the famous local hill climb race of the First Glance Run at the 28th Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The Maserati Grecale is undergoing a 1.16 mile (1.87 km) road test at the landmark event taking place June 23-26 in Goodwood, West Sussex.

The special guest of the Trident brand was David Beckham, who has been Maserati's Global Ambassador since 2021. For this important event, a world sports icon, philanthropist, businessman and style pioneer arrived aboard the Grecale Trofeo. Maserati and David Beckham are driven by the same passion; they are equally admired for technical innovation and the best "Made in Italy" design.

The new Maserati Grecale is an SUV designed for “exclusive everyday life”, a car that embodies emotional luxury and pure innovation. It is available in three versions: GT with 300 hp 4-cylinder mild hybrid, Modena with 330 hp 4-cylinder mild hybrid. and Trofeo with a powerful 530 hp V6 engine. based on the Nettuno engine. with MS20. And it is the Trofeo variant that shows off its prowess to spectators at Goodwood by conquering the famous driveway.

The MC20, which had its dynamic premiere in the UK at last year's Festival of Speed, is also hitting the road. It will be joined by the latest model in the lineup, the new Maserati MC20 Cielo. Released in May 2022, it weighs just 65kg more than the coupe and features an innovative retractable glass roof. The state-of-the-art electrochromic window (smart glass) can be instantly dimmed or brightened, from transparent to opaque or vice versa, by touching the touch panel on the central screen. This is due to the use of dispersive liquid crystal polymer (PDLC) technology.

The roof is also best in class in terms of thermal insulation and an open and close time of just 12 seconds. Both models are powered by a powerful V6 Nettuno engine borrowed from the world of Formula 1. The unit delivers exceptionally good power-to-weight ratio and amazing acceleration and top speed; the coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3 seconds.

Until the end of the festival, the MC20 and the twice-daily version of the Grecale Trofeo will put on a spectacular show as they climb Goodwood Hill. Models will be on display throughout the event in the Supercars Paddock (MC20) and the First Glance Paddock (Grecale).
