An updated version of the Volvo S90 station wagon and V90/V90 Cross Country.
As part of a broader portfolio update, the company's 48-volt hybrid powertrains are now available for every Volvo model, further expanding the capabilities of the company's electrified vehicles. In terms of looks, Volvo designers have made a number of improvements to both the front and rear of the S90 and V90, including new fog lights, a new spoiler lip and a new front bumper.
Volvo S90, V90 and V90 XC
The most striking feature of the V90 and V90 Cross Country models is the all-new taillight design, including full LED signature lighting and a sequential turn signal. A range of new exterior colors and wheel options further expand the customization options.
Inside, a comprehensively redesigned Bowers & Wilkins audio system delivers even better in-car sound with new features such as an upgraded amplifier, automatic noise reduction and new settings that mimic the sound of your favorite jazz club.
Another new feature is the advanced air cleaner with PM 2.5 particle sensor. First developed for the Chinese market and now launched globally, it allows drivers to monitor the air quality inside the car using a central screen. If necessary, Advanced Air Cleaner can clean the cabin air of almost all small particles in a matter of minutes. Both the new Bowers & Wilkins audio system and Advanced Air Cleaner technology are now available on all 90 and 60 series models based on the SPA architecture.
All Series 90 and 60 models now have two USB-C charging points on the back instead of 12-volt outlets. First introduced on the XC40 small SUV, wireless charging for smartphones is now also available on most variants of the 90 and 60 series.
In terms of interior materials, the exclusive wool seats that were first introduced on the XC90 last year are now also available on all 90 and 60 models, and a leather-free interior option is also available for the highest trim levels.
Volvo Cars is significantly expanding its range of 48-volt hybrid powertrains, making these engine options available for every Volvo model. First introduced on the XC90 and XC60 last year, the so-called mild hybrids are now also available on all other 90 and 60 series vehicles as well as the XC40.
Mild hybrids provide drivers with fuel savings of up to 15 % and reduced emissions in real driving. The electronically controlled braking system works in conjunction with the energy recovery system, thereby reducing fuel consumption and emissions by recovering kinetic energy during braking.
Combined with the Recharge Plug-in Hybrid range and all-electric vehicles, this means every Volvo model is now electrified.
