Renault Megane RS Ultime - limited edition iconic model

Renault presents the limited edition Mégane RS, celebrating the rich history of this French compact sports hatchback. The Renault Megane RS Ultime is a collector's edition ending the 20-year career of this model, which began in 2003.

• The Megane RS Ultime version, based on the Megane RS Trophy, expresses its individuality even more with its unique look and rich equipment. This spring will replace the Mégane RS and Mégane RS Trophy.
• It features a unique design with distinctive decals that refer to Renault's new visual style and black accents that underline the sporty character and very rich equipment.
• There will be a total of 1,976 numbered examples (referring to the founding year of the Renault Sport brand) signed by Laurent Hurgon, sports car tuner and record holder driving the Mégane RS.
• Mégane RS Ultime completes the prestigious history of Renault Sport, which began in 1976 and is full of sporting victories and legendary models.
• The first public presentation of this version took place on January 13 this year. in Japan, at the Tokyo Motor Show, a country where about 10,000 fans of the brand's sports models live.

The Mégane RS Ultime is the latest version of the Mégane RS and, generally speaking, the last model created under the Renault Sport brand. Its spirit, embodied in the sports versions of Renault, will create a new history in a new guise with the Alpine brand, the manufacturer of sports models Groupe Renault.

Even sportier, unique design

The unmistakable design of the Mégane RS Ultime uses Renault Sport's signature visual symbols in the form of a double diamond logo, complemented by graphic accents reminiscent of the new Renault logo. They are located on the roof and hood (except for options with a sunroof), rear bumper, doors and fenders. Matte black accents pair well with the four available body colors: Etoile Black (no extra charge), Pearl White, Sirius Yellow or Tonic Orange. In addition, the date of foundation of Renault Sport, 1976, is unobtrusively indicated on the right sticker.

The exterior of the Mégane RS Ultime features 60mm and 45mm longer front and rear fenders respectively, side vents, RS Vision headlights, centrally located exhaust tip, shark fin antenna, spoiler and rear diffuser. In this limited edition, many elements are painted black: the brand logo, door handles, window frames, rims (including bolt caps), fender trim, rear diffuser and F1 front bumper aero bar. The latter has a glossy black color and is adorned with Ultime lettering. The effect of graphic shading was used, which gave everything that happens even more dynamics.

Inspired by Track Days

The interior comes standard with Recaro bucket seats upholstered in black Titane Alcantara and an embroidered RS monogram. Customized door sill finishers and a number plate at the base of the center console next to the gear selector highlight the unique character of each vehicle. It bears the signature of Laurent Hurgon, test driver and tuner for the new generation Megane RS, who also set a number of records at the Nürburgring, Suzuka and Spa-Francorchamps.

Megane RS is 15 years of my work in Renault Sport. Since the Mégane II, we have continuously improved its driving performance to stay at the forefront of the front-wheel drive sports car category. Records at the Nürburgring Nordschleife were an unforgettable experience for us, full of passion, adrenaline and emotions. And now it's the turn of the Megane RS Ultime... Wide range of equipment

Standard equipment on the Mégane RS Ultime includes numerous features of the Mégane RS and Mégane RS Trophy: 9.3-inch navigation screen, Bose Hi-Fi system, 10-inch instrument cluster, RS Monitor on-board telemetry system, adaptive cruise control and assistance system when parking with 360° sensors. The options list includes a head-up display and a sunroof.

High performance like the Mégane RS Trophy

The limited edition based on the Mégane RS Trophy has the same. 4-cylinder turbocharged 1.8 engine with 300 hp and 420 Nm of torqueworking with an automatic EDC transmission with dual clutch and Torsen mechanical differential, thanks to which the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. The car is fitted with high-performance Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires specially developed for the Mégane RS Trophy-R and mounted on 19-inch Fuji Light wheels, as well as two-piece Brembo brake discs with red calipers. Independent front suspension, lowered bowl suspension, hydraulic bumpers and 4CONTROL four-wheel steering provide ultra-sporty behavior even on the track.
