Volkswagen updates ID.4 and ID.5 models
Volkswagen begins accepting orders for the updated ID.4 and ID.5 models. Both will now be available with all-new generation infotainment systems and software.

More intuitive controls
Volkswagen has modified the cabin of the ID.4 and ID.5 models. Both cars now feature a new infotainment system with a screen size increased to 12.9 inches. The software has also been modified to make it much faster and offer more features. The menu structure is also new. The digital cockpit (behind the steering wheel display) and optional augmented reality head-up display have been improved.
The air conditioning and volume control touchscreen sliders are now backlit, and the multifunction steering wheel has also been redesigned. The driving mode selector lever has been moved from the instrument housing behind the steering wheel to the steering column, as in the ID.7. Operation of the ID.4 and ID.5 has also been made easier thanks to the new IDA voice control system, which responds more accurately to voice commands and offers new functions. Also new is a Harman Kardon audio system with a 480-watt amplifier and 10 speakers, available as an option on both models.

75 percent more torque
The most important new feature of all ID.4 and ID.5 models with a usable battery capacity of 77 kWh is more efficient drive. Thanks to a new engine and a new generation battery, energy consumption has been reduced while increasing power. The rear-wheel drive ID.4 Pro and ID.5 Pro models use a 286 hp electric motor. - 82 hp more than before. The car has become much more dynamic also because the torque has increased from 310 to 545 Nm. The extra 235 Nm is an increase of as much as 75 percent. In the case of the Pro 4MOTION variant, the system power increases to 286 hp. – additional 21 hp
GTX – acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
Sporty and equipped with all-wheel drive. The flagship models ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX will have a system output of 340 hp, an increase of 41 hp. more. The resulting improvement in dynamics is clearly visible, for example, when accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h. The modified ID.4 and ID.5 GTX models require just 5.4 seconds. As before, the top speed of the ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX variants is limited to 180 km/h. In the modernized range, the maximum speed of the Pro variants is at the same level (previously 160 km/h).

Another 178 kilometers in 10 minutes
All ID.4 and ID.5 models with the new 77 kWh battery now have an increased range. Two examples: the new ID.4 Pro can cover a distance of 550 kilometers (combined WLTP) - this is 17 kilometers more than its predecessor. The new ID.5 Pro has a range of up to 556 kilometers - an increase of 11 kilometers. The rear-wheel drive ID.4 and ID.5 models can be charged at the same power as before – 135 kW. For models with all-wheel drive, charging power has been increased from 135 to 170 kW. With this charging power, you can replenish energy in about 10 minutes, which is enough to cover 178 km.
Fast charging while traveling
The new battery charging and temperature management system in all ID.4 and ID.5 variants ensures correct preparation for charging during the journey. Thanks to this, the modernized Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5 can be charged very quickly, which is especially important during long journeys.

More comfortable and dynamic
The chassis setup has also been adapted to the new drive system. Volkswagen has improved the handling of the optional DCC adaptive suspension, and Vehicle Dynamics Manager ensures a balance between comfort and dynamics.
