Using exclusive Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) and personalized accessories, the American Mopar team has transformed the 2020 Jeep Gladiator into a concept vehicle for diehard mountain bikers.

The Jeep Gladiator Top Dog concept was unveiled at SEMA360, the Special Equipment Market Association (SEMA) virtual showcase in Las Vegas. This year, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the fair is being held online from 2 to 6 November.

“The Jeep Gladiator Top Dog concept car, equipped with nearly 20 Jeep Performance parts, is designed with the avid mountain bike enthusiast in mind,” said Mark Bosanak, director of Mopar, FCA’s North American Parts and Customer Service division. “For the entire Jeep lineup, we have over 500 quality-tested JPP parts and accessories developed in conjunction with the manufacturer.”

“Designed to meet the demands of an active lifestyle and offering one-of-a-kind outdoor freedom, the Jeep Gladiator is the perfect blank canvas for Mopar that can be filled with numerous Jeep Performance parts to enhance its capabilities. said Jim Morrison, Jeep FCA North America Brand Director. "Mopar's new Top Dog concept car brings even more intelligent functionality and versatility to the Jeep Gladiator."

The Jeep Top Dog Concept, featuring a K-9 Blue body color, increases the cargo capacity of Jeep's most capable pickup truck by eliminating the standard cargo area and replacing it with a massive lockable storage compartment with PCOR organization system.

On the passenger side, drawers can safely store the tools and accessories needed by mountain bikers. Large shelves for various utensils, external light switches and additional power supplies are within easy reach.

On the driver's side, the storage system offers a battery-powered refrigerator and an electric hot dog grill, ideal equipment for hungry cyclists fresh off a rugged mountain trail.

On the roof of the car and in the upper part of the rear superstructure, there is a place for attaching various equipment, including bike racks. Two LED pole lights mounted on both sides provide better illumination, and a set of winches is attached to the bodywork, very useful for off-road riding. The superstructure has a double bike rack for safe transport of mountain bikes on trails.

For great off-road capability, the Jeep Top Dog Concept is equipped with a set of JP parts, two-inch FOX shock absorber suspension for increased ground clearance, 17-inch Beadlock alloy wheels and 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 Mud-Terrain tires. Exclusive high steel wheel arches provide additional ground clearance in all four wheel arches.

The Jeep Gladiator Top Dog Concept is powered by the proven 285 hp 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine. Front protection is provided by a Rubicon JPP bumper that combines an original 2-inch steel mesh skid plate inspired by the Jeep J6 concept with an exclusive Rubicon Warn JPP winch with 8,000 lb (3,628 kg) of hauling capacity with 30.5 meters of Spydura synthetic rope.

Custom black Mopar locks with the Jeep Willys logo stand out on the hood. The Snorkel JPP helps direct cool air into the engine when terrain conditions restrict conventional air intakes. A pair of 5-inch LED lights from the JPP parts range mounted at the base of the A-pillars help illuminate the off-road trail.

Body sides are protected by JPP side skirts, personalized with 2-inch steel tubing, similar to the design of the front grille cover. Black treadplates with an embossed Gladiator logo help protect the sills from scratches from the inside.

A second Warn JPP winch is installed at the rear of the Jeep Gladiator Top Dog concept. Directly above the rear winch is a drawer that houses a folding ladder to access the two-bike rack.

Inside the cabin, the K-9 Blue and Black body colors are repeated on the dashboard to match the body color. In addition, black Katzkin leather with blue stitching appears on the seats, armrests, shifter bellows, steering wheel and even the handbrake lever.

Mopar pedal covers in stainless steel and black rubber make the brake and accelerator pedals more functional. Directly below them are year-round rugs.
