Mitsubishi Motors Europe is introducing the new COLT model, which is the next step in a launch planned for 2023 after the next-generation Mitsubishi ASX introduced in March. Since its introduction to the European market in 1978, the six generations of COLT have sold 1.2 million units in total.

The styling of the LED daytime running lights gives the new COLT a personalized lighting signature, echoing the design of the Mitsubishi Motors signature Dynamic Shield.

On higher trims, the LED daytime running lights are positioned under the headlights, adding to the vehicle's dynamism. The sloping lines of the bonnet highlight Mitsubishi's iconic Three Diamonds, surrounded by lighting elements. The stylistic complement of the new COLTA is a palette of five varnishes: Metallic Onyx Black, Dawn Red, Royal Blue, Volcanic Gray and Solid Arctic White.

The new COLT uses the latest powertrain technology to offer a host of options for the demanding European B-segment that demands both performance and economy.

The main engine of COLTA is innovative, 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with 66 hp and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A step above this option is the three-cylinder, 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 91 hppaired with a six-speed manual transmission, designed for customers looking for more performance.

In a world where vehicle performance depends on greater economy and reduced emissions, the new COLT brings to the European market an electrified, active hybrid transmission (HEV) combining a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with an advanced automatic transmission capable of operating in several modes and developing power of 143 hp.

The hybrid unit uses a 36 kW electric motor, a high voltage generator and a 1.2 kWh battery to support the internal combustion engine. It also offers the option of regenerating brake energy to improve efficiency and is suitable for urban driving where up to 80% driving times are performed using the electric motor.

The Multi-Sense system in the new COLT model gives the driver even more control over the dynamics and handling of the car. Controlled via SDA, the driver can change driving modes, steering response and transmission to tailor the new COLT to their needs and preferences.

In a world dominated by digitalization, the new COLT represents a new approach to communication.

They can be accessed through a 7-inch capacitive screen with gesture support or a 9.3-inch capacitive screen with similar qualities, as well as through voice control, which is also becoming more and more popular in other areas of our lives.

Infotainment systems are complemented by an inductive charger and two USB ports, while acoustics are enhanced by the optional BOSE® Premium Sound System, which provides deeper and richer sound reproduction in the cabin.

BOSE® Premium Audio System was designed for greater sound depth with a nine-speaker configuration including a subwoofer using the new Fresh Air Technology (FAS).
