Porsche Cayenne GTS V8 again
Porsche is expanding its SUV lineup with two new performance-engineered variants: the Cayenne GTS and the Cayenne GTS Coupe. As is typical for the GTS family, the power train plays a particularly important role: instead of the previously used 3.6-litre V6 biturbo engine, a V8 engine beats under the bonnet of the Cayenne GTS. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine with 338 kW (460 hp) and a maximum torque of 620 Nm offers significantly improved performance in all disciplines. With the Sport Chrono package, both variants of the GTS accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 270 km/h. The new GTS package is complemented by a lowered, performance-focused chassis, unique styling and improved hardware.
Porsche Cayenne GTS - V8 engine with new sports exhaust system
The Porsche-designed 4-litre V8 biturbo engine from the flagship Cayenne means the new Cayenne GTS now offers 14 kW (20 hp) more power and 20 Nm more torque than its predecessor. This results in a significant increase in performance, also in the new Cayenne GTS Coupé: the standard 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is now 0.6 seconds faster than before with the Sport Chrono package. The maximum speed has increased by 8 km/h. At the same time, significant emphasis was placed on efficiency issues. Here, the optimally matched 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, adaptive cylinder management, direct petrol injection with a centrally located injector and a well-thought-out heat management system contribute to this. In the NEDC cycle, the sportiest Cayenne models have fuel consumption between 11.2 and 11.4 l/100 km.
Specially configured sports exhaust systems have been matched to the impressive performance of the new SUVs for a particularly emotional acoustic experience. A side exhaust is included as standard, designed to deliver a rich, sporty sound with a unique character. New is the high-frequency sports exhaust system. It features two centrally located oval tips that are exclusive to the Cayenne GTS Coupé and will also be available in the future for the Cayenne Turbo Coupé – in each case in combination with the optional weight optimization package.
20mm lower suspension with dynamic damping control
The chassis configuration of the new Cayenne GTS variants creates ideal conditions for unprecedented lateral dynamics. The standard suspension with steel springs lowers the ride height by 20mm and includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with a purely sporty tuning. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) is also standard. Combined with standard 21" RS Spyder Design wheels and large cast-iron brakes (390 x 38 mm front, 358 x 28 mm rear) with red calipers, the new Cayenne GTS variants bring the agility and spontaneity of real cars into the world. off-road sports. On request, deceleration can be optimized using the Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) with tungsten carbide coating or the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB). The list of additions also includes a three-chamber air suspension with a ride height reduced by 10 mm, a torsion bar rear axle and the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilization system.
Sport Design package and distinctive GTS accents as standard
The standard Sport Design package, combined with numerous black accents, provides a unique and exclusive look. The new Cayenne GTS variants come standard with 21-inch black RS Spyder Design wheels with a matte finish. The front air intakes, moldings around the side windows, the tailpipes of the sports exhaust system, the model designation and the PORSCHE lettering at the rear are also in black. The LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and the LED taillights are dimmed.
The sporty yet elegant performance of the Cayenne GTS can also be seen and felt in the cabin, thanks to high-quality materials such as Alcantara® on the headlining, center seating, center console doors and armrests, and dark brushed aluminium. . The standard 8-way electrically adjustable sport seats, exclusive to the new GTS variants, provide optimal support during dynamic cornering thanks to more pronounced side panels. The "GTS" logo can be found on the doors, door sills, tachometer and headrests. Numerous personalization options include the GTS trim package with optional Carmine Red or Crayon accents for details such as decorative stitching.
